It's always a problem trying to find the right gift (espcially if you are one who detests shopping). The hottest gifts last year generated some consistency in that the Wii appeared most popular among the younger demographic. However, the problem was you could not find one. Most retail shops were out and prices on EBay were $200 MORE than retail!

According to Yahoo, it is expected that the Nintendo Wii will be in high demand again. Nintendo is fully aware of the anticipated hunt for their products and has advised the general public that more stock has been sent. Already, sales have increased 25% compared with last year. As such, if the Wii is on your gift list, be cautioned that it is expected to be in high demand again this year and purchase your items early. At the time this article was written, you can purchase a Wii console on ebay for $355 (including 2 games).

If the console is too difficult to find or not in your price range, there are other Wii related products.

The Wii Fit is more modestly priced than the Wii console at $89.99 (retail price). Fitness and Games in one - what a great concept for America. Nintendo has bridged the concept of health and gaming and plan to target those who usually don't play videogames. Although the Wii Fit is the new craze, it is already out of stock in many major retail stores. You can purchase a new Wii Fit on EBay for $135.

Games on the Wii Fit are limited to the Balance and Aerobic exercises. In addition, how much fun could this be if you are running in the same spot on a pad running next to fellow Mii's. At least seeing people at the gym pump sweat serve for extra motivation. However, I can't forget this is for my kids. If this is motivation to get your kids of the couch, this might be a great consideration.

What has caught my attention more during my search of Wii products has downloadable Wii Games. I was not aware that this was possible. Not only can you download games, but also movies, music and even TV shows. Although I have not tested this myself, according to My Wii Downloads
